All Original Civil War, Union Army, Hand Written Soldiers Letter written to Parents, Soldier in Camp 4 miles from Bull Run Battlefield.
The letter is written and sent by Private Frank B. Pursel, serving with the 130
th
Regiment, New York Volunteers.
The letter is very nicely written and very readable.
The Letter is written from “Manassas Junction” and dated August 7
th
, 1863.
The letter 3 pages in length and is interesting to read.
The original matching envelope has its original mailing stamp and is canceled from Alexandria, Virginia on August 10, 1863.
The Envelope is addressed to the Soldiers Parents in New Jersey (see pictures).
Both the Letter and Envelope are in great condition with no deterioration or damage.
