Condition as seen.  One page ALS titled Head Quarter's Casey's Division Poplar Hill June 7th 1862 (days after the battle of Seven Pines/Fair Oaks, Written by Bvt Colonel Benjamin B Foster AAG, formerly of the 11th Maine Vols., to an un-named General, "General I am directed by the Brig Gen'l Comdg to inquire why your monthly returns has not been sent in as yet.  It is earnestly desired that it be rendered at once.  I have the honor to be your Obb Servt Benj B Foster Lt AAG"
