Buckingham Female Collegiate Institute" illustrated
cover (overall in green) o Farmville Va., some soiling, otherwise Very Fine and unusual, X-Trish Kauffmann.
This cover is listed in the New Dietz catalog as addressed to "Mrs. E. A. Preot, Farmville College, Farmville, Va."  The addressee was Mrs. Eduard Arnauld Preot, whose husband was born in Lille, France and emigrated to the US and served on the faculty of several female colleges.  This is only one of two Confederate covers known for the Buckingham Female Collegiate Institute.
