    Description

    This is a posted foreign use 1862 American Civil War patriotic cover featuring two U.S. stamps on it - a #68A Blue Green 10 cent Washington and a #75 dark red brown Jefferson with a waffle postmark. The #75 Jefferson as a dark red brown catalogues as ,000 on a patriotic cover according to the 2020 Specialized Catalogue. This piece is postmarked March 15 with a New York cancel, and then dated 1862 on another cancel. It was sent to Chateau Salins in France. This is altogether a magnificently rare piece with a combination of superb factors to it.
    This piece is missing the back to it, and has some notable damage to it that can be observed in the above photos.
