Gallery 18 ... is offering an original patriotic Civil War postal cover.
This one appears to depict Confederate President Jefferson Davis (J.D.) driving a pair of unicorns,
while a devil-figure rides along behind in a carriage.
A third figure, identified as Buer (?), sits on the back of the carriage.
This envelope measures about 2 5/8" x 4 3/4" (6.7 x 12.1 cm). The cover is unused with a
full embossed flap verso. It shows minimal wear and minor foxing. It also shows the remnants of old album mounting tape. Overall, we rate the condition as fair.
